How do foreign boys and girls survive the -rigorous- schooling system of the Japanese archipelago? — Naz Joon · Follow Studied at Kanagawa University (Graduated 2024) Updated 4y How do foreign kids in Japan survive Japanese schools? I came to Japan when I was a middle school student (13) and I didn’t know a word in Japanese, not even konnichiwa. There’s a system where they give you a Japanese teacher at school and you learn basic Japanese conversation and review for exams with the teacher. It helped me so much even though I was so unmotivated and hated middle school. Because it was a whole different world to get used to. So to get into a high school, normal Japanese students have to write 6 exams but if you’re a foreigner who has been in Japan for less than 3 years, they only make you take 3 exams (English, Math and Japanese). After passing, they will teach you hard subjects like math, history, biology etc in a small class room with easy Japanese until you get a hold of it. Then you’ll go back to the normal class and study with the Japanese students. — Feng Xian · Follow Strategic Planning & MGMT Consultant in Shanghai (2021–present)7mo Are Christian South Koreans influenced by Confucianism? A South Korean woman once complained to me that Confucianism is bad and Christianity is good. Then I ask her what Confucianism is for her. She says Confucianism means obeying your parents and elders (like older students, ur superior in office). I therefore conclude that she has no idea what the F she is talking about and what Confucianism is and South Korea’s very foundation and its continuity is un-Confucianistic to begin with. — Craig Wilcox · Following Former Airedale at United States Navy (USN) (1964–1968) 7th How do pilots know where the airport is? I’m going to reveal one of the biggest and best-kept secrets of the aviation world. If you look into the cockpit of any airliner, you will be amazed by the plethora of knobs, switches, and push buttons. Between the right and left side, totaled, are more than 100 of these. And they all work! There are switches to control the cabin lighting, Navigation lights, inter-connector switches – just think of anything on the airplane, there is probably a switch or button or knob to control it. — 1971 a.PROFESSOR DR.
